A 700+ acre state park a 5-minute drive from the House or a short bike ride. There are several large beaches along with a quarry that has a trail around it for walking or running.
A larger state park about a 25-minute drive north from the House. Kohler-Andrae also has beaches and a wooden boardwalk along the lake that makes for an easy but pretty hike along the lake.

Located in a newly built over 50,000 square facility, the Preserve focuses on showcasing large-scale artist-built environments. The building is also beautiful from an architectural standpoint.
A large all-wooden playground in Port Washington that has elements for kids of all ages, including an impressive number of bridges, towers, tunnels, and swings for kids to explore.
