Vose's lake location centers around two side-by-side properties, the Asher and the Fox, nestled on nearly 300 feet of pristine Lake Michigan shoreline in central Wisconsin, just two hours north of Chicago.

Our spaces are designed to be warm, inviting, and thoughtful.  The interiors are carefully curated with custom and vintage pieces, antiques, original fine art, and luxurious amenities.  By layering timeless classics with organic textures and elements, we strive to create spaces where our guests can slow down, reconnect, and be inspired by the unique beauty of Lake Michigan and surrounding countryside.

FAQs

FAQs

Is there a beach?

At the Asher and Fox, the amount of sandy beach depends on lake conditions and fluctuates considerably.  On days when the lake is calm, we can sometimes have 10-30 feet of sandy beach.  Other times, the beach is smaller and rockier.

Regardless of beach levels, swimming is always possible directly from the houses.

What kitchen supplies do you provide?

We provide olive oil, cracked pepper, and sea salt along with a variety of basic spices. We also provide gourmet whole bean and ground coffee.

Do you offer early check-in or late check-out?

We always do our best to arrange for the house to be ready prior to the guaranteed 4 pm check-in though this is often not possible during our busier seasons.

Regrettably, we typically cannot offer late check outs as our housekeeping team requires time to prepare the house for the next guests.

Can I bring our family dog?

Yes! Both houses are dog friendly though we limit it to 1-dog per house unless otherwise approved. There is a $250 pet fee per visit.

Please refer to our house rules regarding visiting the house with a dog.

Absolutely! The Asher and Fox were designed to accommodate multiple families and sets of friends across the houses.  Reach out directly for special rates for booking both houses.

Can we rent both properties?

As much as we would love to host large gatherings, due to noise and traffic concerns, we have a strict prohibition on any events or large gatherings, including weddings, and bachelorette/bachelor parties.

Are events or weddings permitted?

The Asher has central air-conditioning.  The Fox does NOT have air-conditioning, however, most of the bedrooms have ceiling fans and we provide numerous additional fans to keep the house cool.

Do the houses have air conditioning?

We are asked this question frequently and like children, each has a different personality and we love them both so much!

As for differences, Fox has more of a charming cozy cottage-vibe with layered saturated colors and textures.  The Asher is a bit more contemporary in its layout and has a larger lawn and hot tub.  The Fox, however, has four bedrooms and three full baths whereas the Asher has three bedrooms and two full baths.

What is the difference between the houses?

Reservations canceled within 30 days prior to arrival are fully refundable less a $50 processing fee.

Reservations cancelled within 30 days of arrival are non-refundable.  In these circumstances, we make every effort to re-book the dates.  If the dates are rebooked by another guest, we will issue a full refund, minus the $50 cancellation fee.
