Vose Lake centers around the Asher, a stunning modern home nestled on nearly 200 feet of pristine Lake Michigan shoreline in central Wisconsin, just two hours north of Chicago.
The Asher is designed to be warm, inviting, and thoughtful. The interiors are carefully curated with custom and vintage pieces, antiques, original fine art, and luxurious amenities. By layering timeless classics with organic textures and elements, we strive to create a space where our guests can slow down, reconnect, and be inspired by the unique beauty of Lake Michigan and surrounding countryside.

At the Asher, the amount of sandy beach depends on lake conditions and fluctuates considerably. On days when the lake is calm, we can sometimes have 10-30 feet of sandy beach. Other times, the beach is smaller and rockier.
Regardless of beach levels, swimming is always possible directly from the houses.
What kitchen supplies do you provide?
We provide olive oil, cracked pepper, and sea salt along with a variety of basic spices. We also provide gourmet whole bean and ground coffee.
Do you offer early check-in or late check-out?
We always do our best to arrange for the houses to be ready prior to the guaranteed 4 pm check-in though this is often not possible during our summer season.
Regrettably, we typically cannot offer late check outs as our housekeeping team requires time to prepare the house for the next guests.
Can I bring our family dog?
Yes! The Asher allows 1-dog per visit. Additional dogs are not permitted. There is a $250 pet fee per visit.

As much as we would love to host large gatherings, due to noise and traffic concerns, we have a strict prohibition on any events or large gatherings, including weddings, and bachelorette/bachelor parties.

WHAT IS YOUR CANCELLATION POLICY?
We understand plans change and always try to work with guests to find solutions.
Cancellations made at least 30 days prior to check-in are fully refundable. Cancellations made between 14 and 30 days prior to check-in are 50% refundable. We unable to refund cancellations made less than 14 days prior to check-in. A service fee of $50 applies to all refunds.
WHAT ARE YOUR RATES?
Our nightly rates vary by season and generally range from $350 to $1,999 per night. Rates are highest in our peak summer and early fall seasons. Our rates are lowest midweek in the winter and early spring.
In addition to our nightly rates, there is also a $250 cleaning fee and 5.5% state and local taxes.
The best way to check specific rates is to click "Book" and find available dates. Dates that are greyed out on our calendar are already booked.
To hear about last-minute openings or cancellations, we recommend joining our mailing list—our subscribers receive priority access to newly available dates and special offers.
IS A MINIMUM STAY REQUIRED?
A 7-night minimum stay is required June, July, and August with check in and check out on Fridays. Our summer stays typically book out far in advance. As the summer months approach, we open any remaining dates for shorter stays.
There is a 2-night minimum stay the rest of the year, with the exception of major holidays, which may require longer stays.
Our booking calendar typically opens up 12 months in advance.
We loved hosting guests at our neighboring property, the Fox House, for many years. In June 2025, we sold the property, however, to a wonderful new family and the house is no longer available for rent.

A 700+ acre state park a 5-minute drive from the House or a short bike ride. There are several large beaches along with a quarry that has a trail around it for walking or running.
A larger state park about a 25-minute drive north from the House. Kohler-Andrae also has beaches and a wooden boardwalk along the lake that makes for an easy but pretty hike along the lake.
